UK Flights Grounded for Second Day - 16/04/10
“Flights across the UK are to remain grounded for a second day as volcanic ash from Iceland drifts across Europe.”
This is the headline from the BBC News site today (16/04/10), as thousands of holiday makers’ plans are affected, delayed and, in some cases, completely cancelled.
Premier Iberian issues the following advice for any customers affected by the travel disruptions:
If your flight is cancelled – you will have the option to move onto an alternative flight or claim a refund, according to the airline’s terms & conditions.
In the case of altered travel dates, Premier Iberian will attempt to amend your holiday dates as necessary and will not make any charges to do so. We will be working hard to keep any charges imposed by suppliers (hotels, car hire companies, golf courses etc.) to an absolute minimum.
If you decide to cancel your golf holiday, Premier Iberian will pass on any refunds due.
Important note – until your flight is cancelled, Premier Iberian is unable to act under these special conditions and any holiday cancellations are subject to full charges as per Terms & Conditions.
If your booking with Premier Iberian has an AT reference (your flights were booked by PI using our ATOL license), we will advise you of your alternative flight and travel options. Please contact us for the latest information.
If you are stranded abroad – please contact us immediately to discuss your situation, we will be working to negotiate special arrangements for those customers having to stay additional nights in resort.
